Spotted wing Drosophila
as newly established pest in Sweden, BioInnovate expects this species to expend gradually its area, the crops affected and numeric presence. We offer monitoring traps, lures, as well as trials with green attractants that selectively remove and suppress D. suzukii. Contact us for more information and support that fits your needs.
Boxwood Moth
this new invasive species from East Asia, Cydalima perspectalis, ravages through Europe and destroys boxwood hedges in gardens, parks, churchyards etc. It has not been detected in Sweden yet. We are proposing monitoring of the pest using our monitoring traps. We further suggest to use mating disruption to prevent the pest from having the same disastrous effect as in southern Europe.
Tortricid, combined mating disruption
Isomate CLS is a mating disruption formulation that we optimized for Swedish conditions. It includes the pheromone components of six tortricid species, including codling moth (Cydia pomonella) and the eye spotted budworm (Spilonota ocellana). It controls also Pandemis heparana, Archips podana and A. rosana. We recommend to hang 800 dispenser per hectare on the upper third of the trees before apple flowering. We advise to monitor population level of the abovementioned pests with pheromone traps.Available from 2020.
The grapevine moth
The dispenser emits a kairomone active on both sexes of grapevine moth Lobesia botrana. In order to monitor the activity of the pest in mating disrupted vineyards, we recommend to place 3-5 traps per hectare. In comparison with standard pheromone trapping, this kairomone gives information on female density and it is therefore very helpful to time ovo-larvicidal insecticides.
Leaf Roller Lures
This kairomone attracts both sexes of leafrollers such as Pandemis heparana and P. cerasana. It is particularly helpful in estimating the level of population density in both conventionally managed and pheromone disrupted orchards.
Apple Fruit Moth
A kairomone dispenser to monitor the apple fruit moth (Rönnbärsmal), Argyresthia conjugella, immigration from the rowan forest to the apple orchard.
It is based on the rowan odour. We recommend to place a trap every 10 m on the border facing the forest or the damaged area, with a minimum of 5 traps. Control measures are needed when the threshold of 4 moths in 10 traps is overtaken at 500 Degree Days.
Lacewing Biocontrol Lure
This products is an attractant for lacewings, which are natural enemies of several pests, including aphids and mites. We recommend to place this lure in the crop during early spring to estimate the amount of natural enemies in the surrounding. Beside attracting adult lacewings, it also triggers oviposition.
Codling Moth
By using traps loaded with this kairomone, it is possible to follow up the flight of both sexes of the codling moth in a given area. The product provides practical indication to evaluate the efficacy of mating disruption and to time specific larvicide such as the codling moth virus.
Ant Diversion to control aphids
This product is a formulation to attract the ants and divert them from aphid colonies, leaving the aphids exposed to natural enemies. We advise to place a drop of the formulation at the base of the tree that needs to be protected against the aphids.
